Cassie

From the moment Cassie came into our lives, it has been one humorous antic after another. She has proven the sheepdog nickname of “the clown” over and over again. I began to take pictures of our new baby from the first day that she arrived. She was the love of our whole family. I captured so many of her “moments” that I realized there was a story behind all of the photos.

She looks like a large stuffed toy so she always attracts attention. Cassie will allow anyone to hug her and fawn her. Her patience with children is wonderful. At a directed cue, she will give any child a kiss on the cheek.

Sheepdogs are not very common in Arizona. So, when we took her on our vacations people would gather around and pet her and photograph her with their cell phones to send to relatives. Many, who were homesick for their beloved dog that they left behind to go on vacation, would get their “dog fix" and tell us (and Cassie) their stories of their "babies”

In San Diego, so many people patted her that by the end of the first day she had a mat on the top of her head.
